Community PartnershipProfessional Development ComponentProfessional Development is a major component of the Community Partnership Subcontracting Program. In an effort to address the expressed and diverse needs of our audience, we offer a variety of smaller focused workshops based on position, experience, years of education and interest levels. These focused workshops give participants opportunities to implement, reflect and delve deeper into a topic by attending more than one session. Our Professional Development Team has planned many new and exciting workshops filled with some of the latest and most up-to-date research. A diverse and qualified pool of presenters and trainers with expertise in their field(s) of study, have been selected to present this information in an applicable and engaging fashion. In keeping with the philosophy of the Chicago Public Schools, Professional Development is the most integral component contributing to the enhancement of the delivery of quality services to children and families. We invite you to fully participate in and take advantage of the opportunities offered, as agency participation is critical to the success of the program. Our Professional Development opportunities are offered throughout the year and include the following:
Professional Development plays a major role in helping professionals stay abreast of current issues in education and assisting practitioners in refining and defining their practice to ensure a higher success rate when meeting the needs of children and families.
