Community Partnership - Child Care Enhancement Program

Serves three and four-year-old children who, because of home or community environment, may need extra preparation for kindergarten.

Provides preschool services to children enrolled in subcontracted child care facilities. The program is funded by the Illinois State Board of Education and provides developmentally appropriate experiences that promote the readiness necessary for school success.

  • Eligible children enrolled in participating child care centers receive an enhanced educational program.
  • Program is targeted to working parents in need of child care.

Agencies serving children and families in Chicago who wish to apply for the Illinois State Board Block Grant, may respond directly to the Office of Early Childhood Education of the Chicago Public Schools.
