Parent Resources

STARNET

Illinois STARNET provides a variety of opportunities for personal and professional growth to those who touch the lives of young children, ages birth through eight, with an emphasis on children with special needs. STARNET supports family-centered, researched and effective practices in early childhood education and care.

STARNET Region V is located at the Chicago Public Schools’ Office of Specialized Services/Early Childhood Special Education. We provide services to families, educators, and providers working and living in Chicago. We encourage you to look over the many offerings in the STARNET Region V Calendar of Events and Resource Book and plan to attend those that interest you. If you are interested in attending one of the workshops please fill out the registration form. The book contains other valuable information as well, including articles, resources, and a calendar of events. Remember, STARNET workshops are FREE and continuing education credits (CPDUs) are provided. Several of our workshops are designed especially for parents and child care and/or transportation costs may be reimbursed.
