The Chicago Area Business Education Association, also known as CABEA, was first founded in 1934. Women's Business Development Center
The Women's Business Development Center is a professional organization that is focused on strengthening and encouraging the ownership and operation of businesses throughout Chicago by women. It is the mission of the Women's Business Development Center to increase interest and awareness of the opportunities in the world of business that are available to women. This organization works with educators, students, and business professionals that want to bring about a more fair and rewarding career experience for women in all areas of the business world. Members can obtain educational training, industry updates, legal services, and more through the organizations many resource opportunities. The Women's Business Development Center does offer certification programs that available in nine states including Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. This broadens the capabilities of meeting the diverse needs of women in the various fields of business that seek membership within this group.
